The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides a "notice and take-down" process for copyright owners who believe their intellectual property rights have been infringed. The Act allows copyright owners to notify an Online Service Provider (OSP) of allegedly infringing material that resides on the OSP's system and to request the OSP to remove or block access to such material.
