John Cassidy
Manager, Engineering—Advanced Programs & Cybersecurity initiatives
John Cassidy has over 15 years of telecommunications engineering and sales experience, with current efforts supporting Advanced Programs and Cybersecurity initiatives for the Federal Government. Cassidy specializes in the development of customized networking and cybersecurity services. He leads a team of highly skilled and qualified security and networking engineers that are essential to the development and delivery of custom solutions which support the missions of the Federal Government. He continues to be a key contributor and lead solutions architect for multiple managed network services opportunities for the Centurylink team.
Prior to joining Centurylink in 2007, Cassidy was a Lead Solutions Architect for Verizon Federal. While at Verizon Federal, Cassidy supported the Department of Defense and International markets segment. Cassidy has been employed previously as an engineer with UUNet/MCI/Worldcom in 1998, which ultimately became Verizon Communications.
Mr. Cassidy holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Information Systems Management from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Business from James Madison University. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
