John P. Gramiccioni
Director, Federal Programs
John Gramiccioni returned to CenturyLink in December 2005 and is responsible for program execution and revenue attainment on Federal Programs providing traditional carrier services such as Networx, the Diplomatic Telecommunications Service, as well as existing Department of Defense (DoD) and selected special program contracts. He brings to the team greater than 45 years of extensive experience in both government and industry in the areas of program implementation, operations and management.
Prior to rejoining CenturyLink, Gramiccioni held senior positions at a number of telecommunications companies, including senior director for Engineering, Operations and Programs at Corvis Government Solutions; executive director at Global Broadband Solutions; director for DoD Sales at Qwest Government Services; and more than 10 years at AT&T Government Systems. At AT&T he served as a district manager for major DOD telecommunications network contracts and was responsible for coordinating and managing Federal Systems support for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
He was a member of the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1965 until 1988, where he retired as a Colonel. Mr. Gramiccioni held a wide variety of assignments, including commander of tactical signal units, as well as national-level assignments, such as the Joint Chiefs of Staff J-6, DISA Operations/Command Center, Central and Special Operations Commands. He worked extensively in support of crisis and contingency operations from 1975 up to the time of his retirement.
Mr. Gramiccioni earned his BS in Economics and Business Administration from Monmouth University in New Jersey and a Masters in Personnel Management from Central Michigan University. He is a graduate of numerous military professional schools and the AT&T/Bell System Commercial Communications Course. Mr. Gramiccioni is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
