With thirty years of operations management experience, Anthony Wellen is the Senior Director of Business Operations and Chief of Staff at CenturyLink Government and is responsible for a $600 million CenturyLink business unit serving the Federal Government. Wellen's team manages Program Control, FP&A, DCAA compliance, Program management and Sales Operations. Wellen joined CenturyLink as a Senior Finance Manager in August 1999. As part of the core group that launched Centurylink Government Subsidiary, Wellen
- established the initial set of financial controls over pre-sales case preparation and proposal pricing.
- ensured compliance with CenturyLink Policies and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- implemented best-in-class policies to develop a disciplined Business Operations organization.
Prior to joining CenturyLink, Wellen specialized in financial and project management with Verizon Communications (formerly Bell Atlantic Corporation) in Washington, DC assigned to high profile projects throughout the United States and Western Europe. Wellen holds a Masters Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland.
