  • Quick and easy to set-up that requires no special technical expertise
  • Access and call processing within the PSTN, so that calls are delivered and terminated efficiently within the PSTN
  • A familiar architecture that is widely deployed within a metro area, state, region or across the nation

How it works

  • CenturyLink® Combined Services Analog Trunk provides a single, voice-grade communication connection for Premises-Based Telephone Systems, or PBXs, that need access to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The trunks provided are central office lines that terminate in any type of common equipment. The premises-based PBX CPE system routes incoming, outgoing and internal calls, and determines which line or trunk is available to make or receive a call.  The primary reason for ordering Analog Trunk service for a PBX is to pool access. Pooled access allows an Agency location to have many more telephone stations than lines connected to the central office. The basis for CenturyLink® Combined Services Analog Trunk operation is that not all of the telephone sets will be in use at the same time. The Analog Trunk method is the most efficient and cost effective way to maximize your Agency's telephone access.
  • CenturyLink® Combined Services ISDN BRI provides the connection between your agency's premises location and the rest of the world. This connectivity is established over a single four-wire digital connection. All data and voice traffic is sent over this connection and distributed within the premises by the PBX, and to the world by a highly efficient and effective local central office switching system interconnected as needed to complete any dialed connection anywhere. CenturyLink® Combined Services ISDN BRI configuration is typically known as 2B+D: 2B channels for transport of voice, data, video, and image at 64 Kbps per channel, plus a single D channel for call setup and control. The 2B channels can be used as is, or rearranged in a wide variety of ways to accommodate highly-specific user needs.
  • CenturyLink® Combined Services Analog, often called Plain Old Telephone Service, or POTS lines, provides a single, voice-grade communication line for telephones, key systems, modems and other devices that need access to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). CenturyLink offers a local service access line at one flat rate that includes a standard set of features, unlimited local calling and unlimited domestic long distance.
  • CenturyLink® Combined Services ISDN PRI provides the connection between your agency's premises location and the rest of the world. This connectivity is established over a single four-wire digital connection. All voice traffic is sent over this connection and distributed within the premises by the PBX, and to the world by a highly efficient and effective local central office switching system interconnected as needed to complete any dialed connection anywhere. CenturyLink® Combined ServicesISDN PRI configuration is typically known as 23B+D: 23B channels for transport of voice 64 Kbps per channel, plus a single D channel for call setup and control. The 23B channels can be used as is, or rearranged in a wide variety of ways to accommodate highly-specific user needs. CenturyLink® Combined ServicesISDN PRI is transported to the agency's premise via a T-1 facility transmitting at a rate of 1.544 Mbps.
  • CenturyLink® Combined Services Digital T1 is a logical step in the evolution of voice, data and video transport. As your agency's transport needs grow, the functionality of a digital service will provide your Agency with clear digital connectivity that is feature rich, flexible and widely available. CenturyLink® Combined Services Digital T1 provides the connection between your agency's premise location and the rest of the world. This connectivity is established over a single four-wire digital connection.
