Setup or edit your email on iOS 4,5,6

These settings work for the following domains: centurylink.net, q.com, elpasotel.net, embarqmail.com, centurytel.net, cswnet.com, clds.net, coastalnow.net, cochill.net, emadisonriver.com, emadisonriver.net, gallatinriver.net, grics.net, gulftel.com, madisonriver.biz, mebtel.net, qwest.net

Reminder: You must create your email address before you can set it up on your device.

Setup your email on iOS 4,5,6
  1. To set-up a new email account select "Settings" from the home screen. 
  1. Scroll down and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". 
  1. Select "Add Account."
  1. Select "Other."
  1. Select "Add Mail Account."
  1. Now enter a "Name", "Email" and "Password". Then select "Next".
  1. The mail program will try to setup your account automatically. You have sucessfully setup your mail.
     
    If you get an error, continue to the next step. 
  1. If you get an error, select "OK".
  1. Verify you have the correct settings, and select "Save."
  1. Select "Save."
  1. Select the emal address you want to troubleshoot.
  1. Verify the Host Name is pop.centurylink.net, select "SMTP."
  1. Select the "Outgoing Server" listed under the Primary Server.
  1. Do the following:
    -Verify the Host Name is: smtp.centurylink.net
    -User Name: Full Email Address
    -Use SSL: OFF
    -Server Port: 587
    -Select "Done"
  1. Select the "Outgoing Server" listed under the Primary Server.
  1. Select "Advanced."
  1. Make sure use SSL is ON, Server Port is 995, then select your email address in the upper left hand corner.
  1. Select "Done."
  1. Select the "Home Button."
  1. Select the "Mail" icon to check your email.

  1. To edit your email account select "Settings" from the home screen. 
  1. Scroll down and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". 
  1. Select the "Email Address" you want to edit
  1. Verify the Host Name is pop.centurylink.net, then select "SMTP."
  1. Select the "Outgoing Server" listed under Primary Server.
  1. Do the following:
    -Verify the Host Name is: smtp.centurylink.net
    -User Name: Full Email Address
    -Use SSL: OFF
    -Server Port: 587
    -Select "Done"
  1. Select your email address in the upper left hand corner.
  1. Select "Advanced."
  1. Use SSL: ON, Server Port: 995, then select your email address in the upper left hand corner.
  1. Select "Done."
  1. Select the "Outgoing Server" listed under the Primary Server.
  1. Select "Advanced."
  1. Make sure use SSL is ON, Server Port is 995, then select your email address in the upper left hand corner.
  1. Select "Done."
  1. Select the "Home Button."
  1. Select the "Mail" icon to check your email.
