Setup or edit your email on OSX 10.7 Lion 

These settings work for the following domains: centurylink.net, q.com, elpasotel.net, embarqmail.com, centurytel.net, cswnet.com, clds.net, coastalnow.net, cochill.net, emadisonriver.com, emadisonriver.net, gallatinriver.net, grics.net, gulftel.com, madisonriver.biz, mebtel.net, qwest.net

Reminder: You must create your email address before you can set it up on your device.

Setup your email on OSX 10.7 Lion
  1. To set-up your e-mail:
    a. Select the "Mail" stamp icon. If the email setup wizard doesn't start...
    b. Select "Mail"
    c. Select "Add Account"
  1. Select "Add Other Mail Account", then select "Continue."
  1. Do the following:
    a. Enter your "Full Name"
    b. Enter your "Email Address"
    c. Enter your "Password"
    d. Select "Create"
  1. You have completed the set-up.

    If you see a screen that says "Account must be manually configured", select "Next" and proceed to the next step.
  1. Do the following:
    a. Select the POP tab
    b. Enter pop.centurylink.net for the 'Mail Server'
    c. Enter your full email address for the 'User Name'
    d. Enter your 'Password'
    e. Select "Next"
  1.  Enter 995 for the port and check 'Use SSL', then select 'Next.'
  1. For the Outgoing Mail Server info, do the following:
    a. Enter smtp.centurylink.net for the 'SMTP Server'
    b. Enter your full email address for the 'User Name'
    c. Enter your 'Password'
    d. Select 'Create'
  1. Enter 587 for the port and un-check 'Use SSL', then select 'Create' to finish the setup.

Edit your email on OSX 10.7 Lion

Want to go back to the setup?

  1. To edit your e-mail account:
    a. Select the "Mail" stamp icon
    b. Select "Mail"
    c. Select "Preferences"
  1. Do the following:a. Select "Accounts"
    b. Select the email address you want to edit
    c. Select the drop down for "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)"
    d. Select "Edit SMTP Server List"
  1. Do the following:
    a. Select the "Advanced" tab
    b. Enter 587 for the port and un-check 'Use SSL'
    c. Enter your full email address for the 'User Name'
    d. Enter your 'Password'
    e. Select 'OK'
  1. Select the "Advanced" tab.
  1. Enter 995 for the port and check 'Use SSL', then select the red circle in the upper left hand corner to close the window.
  1.  Select 'Save' to complete the setup.
