Using Online Help

You can use CEMR-MTG online help to get information on how to access and operate CEMR-MTG. You can access the online help by clicking the Help button in any of the CEMR-MTG windows. A new browser window appears with information you need. You can access this information without stopping the task you are performing.

 

Features

The online Help includes the following left-hand panes. To access each pane, click the Contents, Index or Search button on the toolbar.

 

Contents

The Contents pane displays the table of contents - books and pages that represent the categories of information in the online Help system. When you click a closed book, it opens to display its content (sub-books and pages). When you click an open book, it closes. When you click pages, you select topics to view in the right-hand pane.

 

Index

The Index pane displays a multi-level list of keywords and keyword phrases. These terms are associated with topics in the Help system and they are intended to direct you to specific topics according to your way of working. To open a topic in the right-hand pane associated with a keyword, click the keyword. If the keyword is used with more than one topic, a dialog opens so you can select a specific topic to view, then click Display.

 

Search

When you type a question in the Search pane, related topics are displayed on the right. You can type a question or simply type key words.

 

Navigation

The CEMR-MTG online Help system is designed to open in your default Web browser. Use your browser Back and Forward buttons to navigate through the Help.  

Since this Help system is called from a server, how fast the system appears depends on your Internet connection speed.

 

Access

You can bookmark the internet address of CEMR-MTG online help, to enable you to view the online Help locally.

You cannot download the online help.

 

Printing

You can print any topic in the Online Help using the Print feature on your browser.

 

Online Help Toolbar Functions not Working

If the Index and Search options are not enabled when clicking on the buttons in the toolbar of the Online Help (for Internet Explorer),

 

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu, select Tools, and choose Internet Options.
    The Internet Options dialogue box appears.

  2. Click the Advanced tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Java (Sun) sub-head in the list.

  4. Disable the option:

Use Java 2 v1.4.1_01 for applet (requires restart)

  1. Scroll to the Microsoft VM sub-head in the list.

  2. Disable the following options:

Java Console Enabled (requires restart)

Java Logging Enabled

  1. Enable the options:

JIT Compiler for virtual machine enabled (requires restart)

  1. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
