CEMR-MTG Online Help
Before you submit a trouble report, you can run an MLT (mechanized loop test) to display information about the circuit. You can use this information to decide whether to submit the trouble report.
Click the NON DESIGN tab.
Click the MLT subtab.
Type the telephone number for the line on which you want to run the test.
If the test is for a post-order, pre-delivery telephone number, type the Order Number (a letter followed by eight numbers).
From the Test Type list, select the type of test you want to run.
Full. Runs the Loop test, then the CO test.
CO—Central Office test. Verifies whether the end user's dial tone is working properly.
Quick. The loop test without a ver code. A quick loop measurement is taken with no interrogation done by MLT. There is no comparison with the end user's records. This test is not applicable to digital loop carrier lines. For digital loop carrier lines, it measures the digital loop carrier channel card.
Loop. Determines the loop length, whether there are faults on the line, and whether the end of the line is terminated.
Click Submit.
A message indicates that you have requested an MLT.
Click the TRANSACTION HISTORY subtab.
(Optional) In the Transaction Type list, select MLT.
Click Submit.
CEMR-MTG shows the status of transactions identified by circuit ID (telephone number).
When the transaction status is Completed, click the radio button next to the telephone number to view the results of the MLT. If the transaction status is Failed, click the radio button to see why the test failed.
