CE-VLAN Customer Edge Virtual Local Area Network

An identifier derivable from a content of a service frame that allows the service frame to be associated with an EVC Ethernet Virtual Connection at the UNI User Network Interface.

NOTE 1: This is usually provider assigned but may be negotiated between provider and customer.

NOTE 1: For a VLAN Virtual Local Area Network based map with many to one bundling, multiple four numeric CE-VLAN Customer Edge Virtual Local Area Networks are returned to describe a list and/or ranges. Each UNI termination point must contain the same set of CEVLAN values.

NOTE 2: Only one four numeric CE-VLAN entry is returned for all other VLAN based map types.

USAGE

This field is conditional.

NOTE 1: Prohibited when the associated NCI Network Channel Interface Code code specifies anything other than a VLAN based map.

NOTE 2: Required when the associated UACT UNI Activity Indicator field is “C”, “D” or “R”.

NOTE 3: Otherwise optional.

CenturyLink-SPECIFIC USAGE

NOTE 1: At least one CE-VLAN entry is required if the REQTYP Requisition Type and Status field is "E" or "S", and the ACT Activity field is "N", and the SPEC Service and Product Enhancement Code field is "SVCPRV" or "SVCMUX".
