Updating Autopay payment information

After you enroll in Autopay, you can make changes to the payment information. For example, you can change which bank account you use to make payments. You can also unenroll from Autopay and return to making monthly payments manually—online, over the phone, or by mail.

Note: If you're enrolled in Autopay and are using a credit card to make payments, you cannot update your credit card information online. Instead, contact us, and we will help you make the necessary changes. (Autopay using a credit card is limited by service, product, and location.)

To update your Autopay bank account information:

  1. Click the Billing tab, then click the Autopay subtab.
  1. Click Centurylink Autopay.

    Control Center displays a list of accounts that are eligible for Autopay, but are not currently enrolled.
  1. Click the Enrolled tab.

    Control Center displays a list of accounts currently enrolled in Autopay.
  1. Select the checkbox next to the account(s) you want to update Autopay information for, then click Update Selected.
  1. Review the list to be sure you've selected the account(s) you want to update, then do one of the following:

    • If you've selected the right account(s), click Continue, then go on to step 7.

    • If you need to make changes, click Back, then go back to step 6.

    • If you want to cancel the edits, click Cancel.
  1. In the Routing Number field, type your bank's routing number.

  2. In the Account Number field, type your account number. 

  3. From the Bank Account Type list, select whether it's a new or existing account. 

  4. Select the I agree to these Terms and Conditions checkbox.

  5. Click Next.
  1. Verify that the information you entered is correct, then click Save. (If the information is not correct, click the green Make Changes link and make your corrections.)
  1. Review and keep the confirmation information that appears on the screen.

  2. Click Done.

    Your changes will become effective within one to two billing cycles. After it is complete, you'll receive an email confirming your enrollment.
