Customizing the calling area for a phone number

For your SIP trunk numbers, you can customize the allowed calling area by phone number in Control Center. For example, you can block all outbound calls for a number except to local numbers or you can allow long-distance calls, but not international calls.

To customize the calling area for a phone number:

  1. Click the Products & Services tile, then click the Inventory subtile.
  1. Click the service ID for the SIP trunk service you want to modify.

  2. Click the green arrow next to the Telephone Number Management section.

Control Center displays the phone numbers on that SIP service ID. You can view what types of calls are blocked for each number (if any) and edit the calling areas for the numbers to either block or unblock calling areas.

  1. Select the checkbox next to the phone number you want to edit.

  2. From the Select Action list, select Edit TNs Individually.
  1. In the TN column, click the green number (which is a link) you want to edit.
  1. From the Blocked Calls menu, select the area(s) you want to block calls to for the phone number. (To remove blocks from a line, select the Nothing Blocked option.)

  2. Click Update.
