Deleting a billing account group in Bill Analyst

If you've created an account group in Bill Analyst that you no longer need, you can easily delete it.

Deleting an account group does not impact the list of accounts assigned to you or the assigned accounts in your hierarchies. An account group references copies of your accounts, not your actual accounts.(You cannot inadvertently delete an account using the process, you only delete a copy of the account.) 

To delete a billing account group:

  1. Click the Reports tile, then click the Billing Reports subtile.
  1. Click Bill Analyst.

Control Center opens Bill Analyst in a separate window.

  1. Click the Setup tab.
  1. In the Account Information box, click Account Groups.
  1. Hover over the account group you want to delete and click the X.

  2. Click Ok.

Did you know? If you're using the default, public hierarchy, all the users in your organization see and are able to use the same account groups. If this isn't what you want, you can set up a custom hierarchy.

You can also edit the names of your account groups, and move accounts within groups.
