Splitting services across nodes in Bill Analyst

You can allocate a service between nodes in the hierarchy that are at or below where the parent account is assigned. This may be helpful to share the cost of services between offices or departments. For example, if two departments in your organization share the same internet circuit, you could allocate services between two hierarchy nodes.

To split services across nodes:

  1. Click the Reports tab, then click the Billing Reports subtab.
  1. Click Bill Analyzer.

Control Center opens Bill Analyst in a separate window.

  1. Click the  Setup tab.

  1. In the Hierarchies box, click View Change History.
  1. Click the Edit Levels: Services link.

If you haven't created a hierarchy, you won't see the edit levels option. You must create a hierarchy and make it active before you can add nodes, accounts, or services. See which hierarchy is active.
  1. Type in the start and end dates, click View.
  1. Select the Services radio button, then click View.
  1. Select the checkbox next to the service(s) you want to split, then click Split Services.
  1. Enter a percent for each node you wish to allocate, then click Ok. Your total must be 100%.
  1. Click Ok.
