Viewing a standard detail billing report in Bill Analyst

If you want to understand patterns you're seeing in your data, run a detail report. With it, you can get more details about your telecom use and costs. (If you want to understand high-level trends, view a summary report.)

Watch our standard detail billing reports video to learn more:

To save you some time, choose from a variety of standard detail reports on popular subjects. Examples include:

  • Adjustments and payments

  • Call record detail by VoIP

  • CDRs - All (LD)

  • CDRs - All (LS)

  • Customer service records (LS)

  • Directory assistance (LS)

  • Pay per use services (LS)
  • Discounts, promotions and fees (LS)

  • Extended area service detail

  • Inventory circuits (LD)

  • Long duration calls (LD)

  • Remote access

  • Service summary (LD)

You can edit any of these reports or create a custom one that better suits your needs.

To view a standard detail billing report:

  1. Click the Reports tile, then click the Billing Reports subtile.
  1. Click Bill Analyst.

Control Center opens Bill Analyst in a separate window.

  1. Click the Detail tab.
  1. To refine your search results and reduce the size of your file do one or more of the following:

    • From the Level list, select the level within the organization you want.

    • From  the Data list, select the date for the data you want to see.

    • From the Filter list, select the filter you would like to apply.

  2.  Select the radio button next to the report you want to view, then click View Report.

Did you know? By default, when you run a summary or detail report, the system tries to extract data from every account you have permission to, which increases processing time and creates bigger reports. If you want to see a report immediately (and not wait for an order to be processed), you can reduce the number of records it contains by using the hierarchy/level feature or creating a filter to search for specific service IDs and account numbers.
