Creating a statistical traffic utilization report for toll-free service

You can view use totals by toll-free number monthly, weekly, daily, or for a specific date range by creating a statistical traffic utilization report. This report displays a list of toll-free numbers with use information for each number. Statistical data is aggregated and is kept for 40 days.

To create a statistical traffic utilization report for toll-free service:

  1. Click the Reports tab, then click the Voice Reports subtab. 
  1. Click Toll Free.
  1. Click Traffic Utilization.
  1. In the Report Type section, select the Statistic Report radio button.
  1. Do one of the following:

    • Try this option first: to view the report with times shown in the time of the terminiating call, select the Time Zone of Terminating Call radio button.

    • To view the report with times shown in a particular time zone, select a time zone from the list.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Select the date or date range for the report. Most of the time, you'll want to run the weekly or monthly report. If you are experiencing traffic congestion, try the daily report or a specific date range.

    • Daily—by default, the report is for the previous day. To select a different day, click the Date button and select a date, you can select a day up to 40 days ago (within the calendar year).

    • Weekly—by default, the report is for the current calendar week (Sunday–Saturday). To select a different start day, click the Week button and select a start date. You can select a week starting up to eight days ago (within the calendar year). 

    • Monthly—by default, the report is for the current calendar month (from the first through the current day). To select a different month, click the Month button and select a month.

    • Date Range—you can customize the report for a specific date range. To select a different date range, click the Start or End button(s) and select a date.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Search for the toll-free numbers you want included in the report. If you want to view information for specific numbers, use the fields to limit your search for those numbers. Otherwise, select Get all Toll-free numbers. Control Center will return up to 300 numbers. If you have more than 300 numbers, you should narrow your search by doing one of the following:

    • To see a range of numbers, fill in the from and to fields.

    • To see a list of numbers matching certain criteria, select an option from the list and type your search criteria.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Select numbers from the Available Toll-free list that you want to include in the report. To add a number to the report, highlight the number and click Add. To remove a number from the report, highlight the number, then click Delete.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Fill in the information for the report:

    • In the Name field, type a name for your report. This name is what the report is called if you save it and run it again in the future.

    • In the Title field, type a title for your report. This title is the name for the report in the list of run reports that are available for viewing.

    • In the Comments field, type comments, this is optional. You may want to add comments about the report such as the numbers or data used to create the report.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Click on the name of the report title to view the report, then do one of the following:

    • To create the report and save the criteria you used to run the report in the future, click Save and Run.

    • To create the report and discard the criteria you used, click Run and Don't Save.

    • To schedule the report to run on a frequency you specify, click Schedule.
  1. If you select Schedule, complete the following information: 

    1. In the Frequency section, select how often you'd like the report to run.

    2. In the Frequency range section, select the start and end dates for the report to run. (For example, you could schedule a report to run daily for the month of November.)

    3. If you have additional email addresses you'd like the report delivered to, type them in the last field (separating addresses with a comma). By default, a copy of the report will be sent to the email address in your Control Center profile.
  1. Click Submit.

    Scheduled reports are owned by the user who creates them. Other users under your Control Center account can view the reports, but cannot edit the schedule. If the user who created a scheduled report is deleted from Control Center, the report(s) owned by that user will not run. Scheduled reports run for up to 365 days and then expire. If you still need the report, you can go back into the saved report and reschedule it.

Control Center runs the report you requested and automatically displays the list of reports run for your organization, the requestor, report status, and run date.

  1. Click on the blue link of the report you want to open.
