Creating a connection between two Google locations

You can create a Dynamic Connection to connect two Google locations. To create the connection, you'll need pairing keys from Google. Be sure to have that information handy to type in (or copy/paste).

Note: You can only use a pairing key that hasn't been used before. Once you use a pairing key, you'll have to request a new one from Google.

To create a connection between two Google locations:

  1. Click Create Connection.
  1. In the From Connection Type field, select Google.

  2. In the To Connection Type field, select Google.
  1. Fill in the information for the connection:

    1. Fill in the Pairing Key field for the origination location with the pairing key provided by Google. (Note: You can only use a pairing key once. Once you use a pairing key, you'll have to request a new one from Google.)

Once you fill in the pairing key, MyLevel3 retrieves connection information from Google and adds a field so you can select the Google origination location.

    2. In the From Location field, select the Google location where you want the connection to originate.

    3. Fill in the Pairing Key field for the termination location with the pairing key provided by Google.

Once you fill in the pairing key, MyLevel3 retrieves connection information from Google and adds a field so you can select the Google termination location.

    4. In the To Location field, select the Google location where you want the connection to terminate.

    5. In the Bandwidth field, select the bandwidth for the connection.

MyLevel3 displays pricing for the bandwidth you selected.

    6. In the Connection Name field, type a name for the connection you're creating.

  2. Click Next.
  1. Review your connection information and then click the I agree with the terms and conditions checkbox. (To enable the checkbox, scroll to the bottom of the terms and conditions.)

  2. Click Create Connection.

MyLevel3 creates the request for the connection and places it in Pending Activation status. From here, you can either view the status of your request (click the list link) or close the window (click Close) to do something else in MyLevel3.

  3. If you selected Create a redundant pair of VLAN attachments when you created the VLAN attachments with Google, repeat steps 3–9 to create another Dynamic Conncection with the second pairing key from each VLAN attachment.
