Receiving calls from callers without caller ID (Turning off External Calling Line ID Delivery)

If you don't want to know the caller ID from a caller outside your organization, turn off the External Calling Line ID Delivery feature. With the feature turned off, incoming calls will appear as "unknown calls." By default, the External Calling Line ID Delivery feature is turned on.

To turn off External Calling Line ID Delivery:

  1. Open your browser or Microsoft Outlook with the Enterprise Assistant Toolbar.
  1. Click Services.

    The Services window opens with the toolbar features, displaying the last feature opened.
  1. Under the Incoming Calls menu, click External Calling Line ID Delivery.
  1. Click the Off radio button.
  1. Do one of the following:

    • If you want to make additional changes, click Apply, then click on the next feature to set.

    • If you're done, click OK.
