Setting your mobile phone to use the Anywhere feature

Using the Enterprise Assistant Toolbar, you can set your mobile phone or landline phone to make and receive calls at any location, using only one phone number. Use this feature to seamlessly move calls from your desk phone to your Anywhere device and vice versa without interruption.

If you make a call on your Anywhere device using the Anywhere pilot number, callers will see your desk phone caller ID and not your mobile or landline phone number. To use the Anywhere feature, you’ll need to designate a phone as an Anywhere device and also set a few call control options.

If Anywhere is grayed out on the toolbar or in the Services menu, Anywhere is not available with your VoIP seat type.

To designate a device as an Anywhere phone using the Enterprise Assistant Toolbar:

  1. Open your browser or Microsoft Outlook with the Enterprise Assistant Toolbar.
  1. Click Services.

The Services window opens with the toolbar features, displaying the last feature opened.
  1. Under the Call Control menu, click Anywhere.
  1. To alert all phone numbers for click-to-dial calls, check Alert to all locations for Click-to-Dial calls.

Note: This will call your desk phone, softphone (desktop or mobile) and Anywhere phone(s) (mobile, or landline, etc.) when you call using the toolbar.

  2. To add your Anywhere phone, in the Anywhere Locations List section, click Add.

  3. To turn on Anywhere for a designated device, select the checkbox in the Enable column, then type the phone number, and a description of your Anywhere phone (mobile, landline, etc.).

  4. If you want your Anywhere device to prompt you to press a button on your Anywhere device in order to answer a call, select the checkbox next to Require Answer Confirmation.

  5. To access all of the call control services available from your desk phone on your Anywhere device, select the checkbox next to Use BroadWorks-based Call Control Services.

  6. To set an alternate caller ID for outbound calls, in the Outbound Alternate Number/SIP URI field, type a phone number and an extension.
  1. Do one of the following:

    • If you want to make additional changes, click Apply, then click on the next feature to set.

    • If you're done, click OK.

Did you know? After you’ve designated your Anywhere device, click on the Anywhere button on the Enterprise Assistant Toolbar to turn the feature on or off. Your settings will stay the same until you change, add, or delete them.
