Will you be working in a conference room and still want to answer your calls? Are you going to be away from the office and need your calls to ring to another person or your mobile device? Call forwarding allows you to do this.
If your phone is ringing and you want to direct the call to someone else, you can redirect the call without first speaking to the caller.
You can set up your phone to forward all calls to another number, even if the Do Not Disturb feature is enabled. Call forwarding is not available on shared lines.
When you no longer need to forward your calls, you must disable the call forwarding to resume normal calling.
Another form of forwarding calls, you can divert calls from an individual in your contact directory to another telephone number. (In other words, you can forward calls on behalf of one of your contacts.)
To remove a diversion, follow the steps above, but delete the telephone number the contact is diverted to and you change Auto Divert to Disabled.
