CenturyLink Local Access, commonly referred to as the local loop, is the network connection between the QCC national network access point of presence (POP), or network access point (NAP), and the customer premises (business addresses only).
CenturyLink Local Access is part of an end-to-end customer solution that includes QCC national network products, such as Domestic Private Line, MPLS (including Internet access), ATM, frame relay, hosting services, Ethernet Private Line, Optical Wavelength Service, dedicated voice and advanced voice (VoIP) products.
There are three different types of CenturyLink Local Access: CenturyLink Provided Access (CPA), Customer Provided Access (CPA) and Cross Connect Access (CCA). CenturyLink also provides different local access transport protocols, including time division multiplexing (TDM), synchronous optical network (SONET), Ethernet, wavelength, frame relay and ATM.
The CenturyLink (QCC) Local Access circuit may be delivered in three ways:
