Cloud Services
Infrastructure, Platform and Software as a Service via the Cloud

CenturyLink cloud services brings together the best of public, private, community, and hybrid cloud offerings, enabling agencies to seamlessly migrate and extend their data center workloads to the cloud while complying with federal security standards, all over our carrier-class network.

The CenturyLink IaaS offering is designed to maximize the federal government’s existing investments in hardware, people, processes, and tools. CenturyLink’s FedRAMP certified IaaS is an on demand, self-service offering which allows agencies to select and provision computing (e.g., memory and processing) and networking resources (e.g., VLANs, load balancers, firewall rules, and Internet bandwidth) as needed.

Using Microsoft’s Azure Public and Government Community Cloud, CenturyLink’s PaaS supplies an environment in which software developers can build and deliver web-based applications and services. Once built, an application is run on the Azure servers and is delivered to the users over the Internet or a VPN private connection. CenturyLink’s PaaS includes tools for application design, development, testing, deployment, and hosting.

SaaS uses a web browser (or thin-client) to access cloud based applications, - the cloud service consumer does not need to manage application installation and setup, underlying operating system, servers, operations, etc. CenturyLink’s SaaS offerings incorporate services from Microsoft and Akamai such as: Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Office 365, Akamai Kona Site Defender, and Akamai Site Shield.
