How to activate your new Digital Home Phone service

We're sure you're going to enjoy your new CenturyLink Digital Home Phone service. Here's how to get started.

The activation process

Activating your Digital Home Phone service is simple.

 

Once you've received your Digital Home Phone adapter from us, just plug it in and wait for the device to automatically self-configure. Once the device's self-configuration is complete, you're ready to start using your Digital Home Phone service. There's no additional activation needed to begin using your Digital Home Phone adapter. Refer to the Digital Home Phone Quick Start Set Up guide to learn how to connect your Digital Home Phone adapter.

Please Note: To use your Digital Home Phone service, you must already have your CenturyLink High-Speed Internet service activated. Learn how to set up your modem and activate your internet service.

Creating your CenturyLink ID

The next step in your activation process is to create a CenturyLink ID so that you can access other all of your Digital Home Phone tools and features.

Purchased through CenturyLink SimplePay or CenturyLink ON

If you purchased Digital Home Phone through CenturyLink SimplePay or CenturyLink ON, you created your CenturyLink ID when you ordered your internet service.

 

Don't remember your credentials? No worries, simply click the "Get Help" button on the login screen and follow the onscreen process to retrieve your existing credentials.

Purchased both High-Speed Internet and Digital Home Phone service at the same time

If you're a new CenturyLink High-Speed Internet and Digital Home Phone customer, you'll only need to go through the CenturyLink ID creation process once, and that same CenturyLink ID will be used to login to both of your product services.

 

During your initial setup and activation of your CenturyLink High-Speed Internet service, you will be taken through a step-by-step process, and by the time you're finished, you will have created your CenturyLink ID.

Recently added Digital Home Phone to existing internet service

As an existing customer, chances are you've already created your CenturyLink ID.

 

Simply go to communicator.centurylink.com from your web browser, and try the login credentials you previously created when you activated your CenturyLink High-Speed Internet service.

 

Don't remember your credentials, or don't remember creating a username and password? No worries, simply click the "Get Help" button on the login screen, and follow the onscreen process to retrieve your existing credentials, or create new ones.

Digital Home Phone battery back-up

Your Digital Home Phone will not work in the event of a power outage unless you you have a battery back-up. Learn more about  battery back-ups.
