How to activate your new Digital Home Phone service

Congratulations! You're going to really enjoy your new CenturyLink Digital Home Phone service. 

Activation Process

Activating your Digital Home Phone service has never been easier. In fact, we've already done most of the heavy lifting for you.

Once you've received your Digital Home Phone Adapter from us (if purchased), just plug it in and wait for the device to automatically self-configure. Once the device's self-configuration is complete, you're ready to start using your Digital Home Phone service. There's no additional activation needed to begin using your Digital Home Phone Adapter. Refer to the Digital Home Phone Quick Start Set Up guide to learn how to connect your Digital Home Phone Adapter.

Please Note: To use your Digital Home Phone service, you must already have your CenturyLink High-Speed Internet service activated. Follow this link to learn How to set up your modem and activate your Internet service.

The next step in your Activation process is to create your CenturyLink ID so that you can access other useful Digital Home Phone tools. Refer to Getting Started with the Basics of Digital Home Phone to learn more about the basic functionality available with your Digital Home Phone service.

Creating your CenturyLink ID

Depending on when you purchased your Digital Home Phone service, there are a couple different CenturyLink ID activation scenarios you'll encounter:

  • Purchased both High-Speed Internet and Digital Home Phone service at the same time
  • Already a CenturyLink High-Speed Internet subscriber, and just recently purchased your Digital Home Phone service.

If you're a new CenturyLink High-Speed Internet and Digital Home Phone customer, you'll only need to go through the CenturyLink ID creation process once, and that same CenturyLink ID will be used to login to both of your product services.

During your initial setup and activation of your CenturyLink High-Speed Internet service, you will be taken through a step-by-step process, and by the time you're finished, you will have created your CenturyLink ID.

Already a CenturyLink High-Speed Internet subscriber

Great news, chances are you've already created your CenturyLink ID.

Simply go to dhp.centurylink.com from your web browser, and try the login credentials you previously created when you activated your CenturyLink High-Speed Internet service.

Don't remember your credentials, or don't remember creating a username and password? No worries, simply click the "Get Help" button on the login screen, and follow the onscreen process to retrieve your existing credentials, or create new ones.
