Setup or edit your email in Thunderbird

Reminder: You must create your email address before you can set it up on your device.

Setup your email in Thunderbird
  1. If your "Menu Bar" is already showing, skip this step. To get the "Menu Bar" to show, right click on the blue bar and select "Menu Bar".
  1. Select the "File" > "New" > "Existing Mail Account".
  1. Do the following:
    -Enter "Your name"
    -Enter your "Email address"
    -Enter your "Password"
    -Select "POP3"
    -Select "Done".
  1. You're done! If you get an error, proceed to the next step.
  1. Enter the following for Incoming POP3:
    -Server Hostname:
    -Port: 995
    -SSL: ON
  1. Enter the following for Outgoing SMTP:
    -Server Hostname:
    -Port: 587
  1. For the Username, enter your Full Email Address, then select "Re-test."
  1. Select "Create Account".

Edit your email in Thunderbird

Want to go back to the setup?

  1. To edit your email settings, right click on your email address and select "Settings". 
  1. Select "Server Settings" and verify the following:
    -Server Name:
    -Port: 995
    -User Name: Full email address
    -Connection security: SSL/TLS
  1. Select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" > "" > "Edit".
  1. Verify the following:
    -Server Name:
    -Port: 587
    -Connection security: STARTTLS
    -User Name: Full email address
    -Select "OK"
  1. Select "OK."
