Configure DMZ Hosting on your Actiontec C2300A modem

DMZ Hosting enables a LAN device to use the modem WAN IP address as its own. DMZ places the LAN device outside the firewall.
Modem Advanced Step 1-3

1.  Connect a device, such as a computer or tablet, directly to your modem using the Ethernet cable (usually yellow).

2.  Open a web browser and type http://192.168.0.1 into the web address field.

3.  Log in to your modem's settings (Modem GUI) using the Administrator Username and Password, then select "Apply." Unless you have changed the default settings, you can find the login information on the modem's sticker.

4.  Select "Advanced Setup."

  1. Select "DMZ Hosting."
  1. From here you can view or edit the "DMZ Hosting" settings.
