The LAN settings on your CenturyLink modem will allow you to customize DHCP settings and reservations, and LAN subnets.
Note: Your modem settings may appear slightly different from the images below, but the steps will be the same.
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) settings allow you to set the parameters for how your modem assigns IP addresses to devices on your network.
Proceed with caution! CenturyLink recommends that you keep the default settings for the LAN IP address. Changes to this feature will reset other settings on your modem as well. Proceed only if you understand the technical impacts of this feature.
Select DHCP Settings in the left sidebar. This menu option may appear in the LAN Settings section or in the IP Addressing section, depending on your model.
Follow the steps to edit the DHCP settings.
The DHCP reservation setup assigns a permanent IP address from your DHCP to a device on your network.
If you are having trouble connecting new devices to your modem, you can disable DHCP reservations and remove all devices from the reservation list.
Select DHCP Reservation in the left sidebar. This menu option may appear in the LAN Settings section or in the IP Addressing section, depending on your model.
Follow the steps to enable DHCP reservations.

Your broadband router can support multiple LAN subnet settings. Please visit the DHCP settings page to see how to configure the default IPv4 subnet.
From the Advanced Setup menu, select LAN Subnets in the left sidebar.
Follow the steps to edit the LAN Subnets settings.
