Configure IPv4 Firewall on your Technicolor C1100T modem

Enabling the IPv4 Firewall is optional. When the firewall is activated, security is enhanced, but some network functionality will be lost.
Modem Advanced Step 1-3

1.  Connect a device, such as a computer or tablet, directly to your modem using the Ethernet cable (usually yellow).

2.  Open a web browser and type http://192.168.0.1 into the web address field.

3.  Log in to your modem's settings (Modem GUI) using the Administrator Username and Password, then select "Apply." Unless you have changed the default settings, you can find the login information on the modem's sticker.

Learn more about password security best practices.

4.  Select "Advanced Setup."

  1. Select "IPv4 Firewall."
  1. From here you can view or edit the "IPv4 Firewall" settings.
Stealth Mode: Enabling stealth mode prevents the router from responding to probing requests. The router will still answer incoming requests for authorized apps. Unexpected requests, such as ICMP (ping) are ignored. Do not enable Stealth Mode unless you understand the technical impacts.
