Turn Dial by Name on and off

As an administrator, you can give users the ability to direct dial colleagues using the dialpad to type the name of the person they want to reach. You can allow users to dial by name during business hours, after hours, or both.

To allow users to Dial by Name to call other users within your organization, you need to turn the feature on.

To turn Dial by Name on or off:

  1. Click the Menu tab.

  1. To turn ON Dial by Name during business hours, select the Business Hours checkbox and proceed to step 7.

    To turn OFF Dial by Name during business hours, deselect the Business Hours checkbox.
  1. From the Not Used list, select Dial by name.

  1. To turn ON Dial by Name after hours, select the After Hours checkbox, then click the After Hours tab and proceed to step 9.

    To turn OFF Dial by Name after hours, deselect the After Hours checkbox.
  1. From the Not Used list, select Dial by name.
