Turning voicemail on and off

By default, all busy and unanswered calls go to voicemail. Voicemail is turned off for common area phones such as lobbies, file rooms, breakrooms, and backrooms.

Turn voicemail on

To allow callers to leave a message on voicemail, turn on this feature (if it was turned off).

To turn voicemail on:

  1. Log in to the SIMPLE end user portal.

The Voicemail tab opens.

  1. Click Voicemail Settings.
  1. Change the Voicemail Service toggle to on.
  1. If you want to send calls to voicemail without the ability to answer them, select the Send all calls to voicemail checkbox. We recommend you do not turn this on.
  1. By default, the When busy, send calls to voicemail and Send unanswered calls to voicemail checkboxes are selected. We recommend you do not turn these features off.
Note:  In the Message Storage section, by default Use System Mailbox is selected from the list. Do not change it to Use Personal Mailbox, because that option is not supported.
  1. Click Save.
