Configuring Browser for Security Preferences

You must enable your browser security preferences to prevent unsafe situations.

 

To enable security preferences for Netscape

  1. From the Netscape Navigator menu, select Edit, and choose Preferences.
    The Preferences dialogue box is displayed.

  2. Double-click the Privacy & Security category.

  3. Select SSL from the list displayed.

  4. Select both the following options:

A. Enable SSL version 2

B. Enable SSL version 3

  1. Click OK to close the Preferences window.

 

To enable security preferences for Internet Explorer

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu, select Tools, and choose Internet Options.
    The Internet Options dialogue box is displayed.

  2. Click the Advanced tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Security sub-head in the list.

  4. Select both the following options:

A. Use SSL 2.0

B. Use SSL 3.0

  1. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
