REQTYP

Please Note This field is considered a key field in the creation and management of an ASR. Once an ASR is created, this field cannot be changed. If you discover you used an incorrect value and need to make a change, you must DELETE or CANCEL the ASR and CREATE a new ASR. To help, you can use the COPY TO NEW feature prior to deleting/canceling the ASR and then make minor changes.

 

Identifies the type of service being requested and the status of the request.

NOTE 1: A request may be issued as a Service Request (Inquiry) or Firm Order.

The Service Request and Firm Order process description can be found in the Access Service Ordering Overview (ATIS-04040000, Section 5, Four Step Ordering Process).

NOTE 2: The first character of REQTYP specifies the type of service/element.

NOTE 3: The second character of REQTYP specifies the status of the request when processed.

NOTE 4: The original value of the first position must be retained for the life of the ASR request.

CenturyLink-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

NOTE 1: REQTYP cannot be changed on a SUP type 3 or 4.

VALID ENTRIES

1st Character

A = Switched Access - Feature Group A

D = Dedicated Internet Service (DIS)

E = End User Special Access, DNAL, Part Time/Full Time Television or Program Audio, Specialized Ethernet Aggregation, Switched Ethernet Services.

L = CCS Link or Unbundled STP Port

M = Trunking (FG B, C, D, SAC NXX, Wireless and Local)

R = Ring

S = Special Access, Full Time/Part Time Television or Program Audio, DNAL Switched Access Facility, Unbundled Dedicated Transport, Unbundled Multiplexer, Specialized Ethernet Aggregation, Switched Ethernet Services, Stand Alone EVC.

V = Broadband Services, ATM, Frame Relay Service

W = WATS Access Line

X = Broadband End User Services, ATM, Frame Relay Service

P = Private Internet Protocol (PIP) Service, PIP Stand Alone EVC, PIP Stand Alone  PVC

NOTE 1: “E” is prohibited for Stand Alone Ethernet Virtual Connection (EVCI = “A”) services.

2nd Character

The system populates the 2nd position of the REQTYP field with one of the following:

D = Request created. ASR is in any state except FOC received.

E = FOC received from CenturyLink.

USAGE

This field is required.

CenturyLink-SPECIFIC USAGE

NOTE 1: For ASRs submitted for MOE service, the 1st character of the REQTYP must be "S" or "E".

NOTE 2: Neither Dedicated Internet Service nor Private Internet Protocol Service is supported by CenturyLink at this time. [Use of "D" or "P" as first character not supported]
