Role of the Joint Planning Group

As another level of Quality Assurance, the Joint Planning Group focuses its review on the following areas:

Completeness

• That the forecast estimates the CLEC made in the forecast meeting have not significantly increased beyond the agreed upon level.

Duplication

• No forecast information has been entered into quarters where forecasts have already been submitted

Consistency

• The CLEC has not forecasted more DS1s to the local tandem than there are subtending offices.

Accuracy

• All relevant information has been submitted when forecasting a change to an existing trunk group.
