          Port In

Port In occurs when an end-user requests to "port" a number from one Local Service Provider (LSP) to another service provider that is served by a CenturyLink switch, within a Rate Center.

The Port In ordering process will follow the product-specific (for example, Resale, PAL, or QPP) ordering guidelines. The Number Ported In (NPI) field is used in this instance.

The Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC) will anticipate receiving subscription activity (service orders) with matching DDD and Frame Due Time (FDT) released by both companies within the same time windows.
