CustomNet™ - V14.0

History Log

Product Description

CustomNet service provides screening options that restrict certain types of outgoing operator assisted toll calls. When end-users dial 0/0+, operator services will require charges for the call to be billed collect, to a third party or to a calling card.

CustomNet allows all local and nonchargeable calls, e.g., calls to 800 type service numbers and public emergency service numbers such as 911/Enhanced 911 (E911). Calls dialed 0/0+ to Directory Assistance (DA) will be permitted if alternate billing is provided.

CustomNet by itself does not block 1+ dialing. Based on the blocking option chosen, you can choose to block or not to block 1+ dialing. If you choose not to block 1+ dialing, you will be responsible for any 1+ charges incurred.

Additional blocking features include:

CustomNet has two options along with Selective Class of Call Screening. CustomNet Option 1 is the default option and is automatically provisioned unless otherwise specified in REMARKS.

CustomNet Option 1 is available in all states, except ID-N.

Option 1 includes blocking of:

  • 1+ calls
  • Directory Assistance including Complete-A-Call
  • International Blocking
  • Carrier Access Code Blocking

Option 1 allows:

  • Local and non-chargeable calls, e.g., calls to 800/888 and 950 service
  • 0/0+ when alternate billing is provided, such as a calling card or collect, or third number billed calls
  • Directory Assistance when alternate billing is provided
  • Emergency 911
  • Repair calls.

CustomNet Option 2 is available IA, CO, S.ID, MN, ND, NE, NM, OR, SD, and WA in selected areas on Complex Business Classes of Service and may require switch programming.  Some of these businesses include coin vendors, hotels, hospitals and universities.  CustomNet Option 2 is not compatible with any measured voice service.

CustomNet Option #2 is not available with:

  • All flat rated simple POTS-type service, i.e., 1FB, 1FR
  • All measured simple POTS-type service, i.e., 1MB, 1MR, UHR
  • Toll only trunks, i.e., TTTXA

Option 2 includes blocking of:

  • 10+ dialing
  • CenturyLink Complete-A-Call
  • Pay Per Call Blocking

Option 2 allows:

  • 1+/0/0+ when alternate billing is provided, such as a calling card or collect, or third number billed
  • Directory Assistance

Selective Class of Call Screening is available in OR, WA and ID-N on Complex Business Service and PBX Trunks. This screening allows for calls to 800 type numbers and calls dialed 0/0+ to DA will be permitted if alternate billing is provided.
