No Solicitation® V11.0

History Log

Product Description

No Solicitation® is an Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) service that screens all incoming calls to the end-user's telephone number with a greeting from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM, seven days a week.

No Solicitation does not impact outgoing calls.

The end-user has the ability to:

  • Turn the greeting on or off
  • Add/edit privileged and frequent callers to a caller list so they will skip the No Solicitation greeting

To turn No Solicitation On or Off:

  • Call Update Center
  • Select "No Solicitation"
  • Follow recorded instructions

You can program up to 25 telephone numbers into a Privileged Caller List by calling the Update Center. Telephone numbers that are on the Privileged Caller List skip the No Solicitation greeting.

Three types of entries are allowed:

  • Area code--all incoming calls from that area code will skip the No Solicitation greeting
  • Area code and Prefix--all calls from that NPA NXX will skip the No Solicitation greeting
  • Specific 10-digit phone numbers--the 10-digit number will skip the No Solicitation greeting

To establish or change the Privileged Caller List:

  • Call Update Center
  • Select "No Solicitation"
  • Press 2
  • Follow recorded instructions

Frequent callers will automatically be added to the Privileged Caller List.

  • A valid 10-digit number must call and press 1 at the No Solicitation message five times within seven days.
  • Frequent callers are transparent to the end-user, until they access the Update Center to review the entries on the Privileged Caller List.

End-users manage No Solicitation by accessing the Update Center.

Call the Update Center (*78 from the line with No Solicitation or 888-NPA-8052 from any touch-tone phone).

Exception: The Update Center telephone number is usually 888-NPA-8052. NPA = the Area Code of the number with No Solicitation in Arizona, Iowa, Oregon, and Minnesota.

  • In Arizona for NPA 928, use NPA 520; e.g., 1-888-520-8052
  • In Iowa for NPA 641, use NPA 515; e.g., 1-888 515-8052.
  • In Minnesota for NPAs 763 or 952, use NPA 612; e.g., 1-888 612-8052.
  • In Oregon for NPA 458, use NPA 541; e.g., 1-888-541-8052.
  • In Oregon for NPA 971, use NPA 503; e.g., 1-888-503-8052.

A 4-digit security code must be entered to make changes on service.

  • The temporary code is 1234 for the first time the Update Center is called.
  • The end-user will be instructed to establish a new custom security code.
