Description Of Change
CLEC asks Qwest to eliminate Qwest’s requirement that CLECs place complete the location and department fields in IMA-GUI (release 6.0). Orders are rejected when the LOCN or DEPT fields do not match Qwest records or if the fields are not completed. The only way to obtain the information for the fields is to pull a FULL Customer Service Record (CSR). This is extremely time consuming and inefficient. Only a certain amount of data downloads at one time, and then CLECs must sift through unneeded information to find the LOCN and DEPT information. In a separate CR, Eschelon has asked that Qwest eliminate the requirement altogether. If Qwest does not do so, at a minimum, Qwest should provide the department and location information as part of the PARTIAL CSR.

11/17/01 - This change request was submitted 3/26/01. Work may be complete but a clarification meeting was still needed to confirm. 11/17/01 - Clarification meeting was held Attendees - Kathy Stichter, Bonnie Johnson, Monica Manning, Gerry Mohatt, J J Bradley, Lynn Stecklein Description - Provide location and department information in partial CSR, if continue to require this information. LSRs were being rejected in the Minneapolis Center for the Western Region only. An interim process was put in place not to reject the LSRs. The MN center reps were manually entering the Dept and Loc information for the CLEC until the system work could be done.

This letter is in response to your CLEC Change Request Form, CR5464965 Provide Location and Department Information in Partial CSR

Qwest Response: The clarification meeting to discuss this Change Request was held with Eschelon on November 19, 2001. From this meeting, the level of effort was determined to be Large. This Change Request was voted #16 as a result of the IMA 10.0 prioritization.
