Covad would like the CFA Code removed as an ordering requirement. Although the CFA code is beneficial to Qwest (describes the type and size of cable), it really has no importance for the CLEC. In order to accurately specify CFA, we have to compare it with the information in IMA GUI. Unfortunately this information is not constant, and changes often without notice. This causes numerous rejections by EDI and makes for an incorrect database causing hours of needless reconciliation. Covad would like Qwest to re-evaluate the need for CFA information and consider removing it as an ordering requirement.
