Project Meetings

October 23, 2002 Email received from Jonathan Spangler/AT&T: Per the action item taken from last week's Systems CMP meeting, AT&T does not wish to sponsor Qwest initiated SCR013002-2 Tool for LIS Forecasting. AT&T, therefore, accepts Qwest's withdrawal of this CR as well as the discontinuation of system tool FORCAST. - October 17, 2002 Systems CMP Meeting Discussion: Michael Buck/Qwest stated that Qwest operations is looking to withdraw this CR. Michael reviewed the history of this CR: - Qwest brought forward an optional process. - The web site was deployed briefly. - Upon deployment there were some issues found and Qwest sent out event notifications. - Research was done and based on the outcome, the issues were found to be larger than expected. So, based on that we are bringing this forward for withdrawal of this optional process. - The existing process is not impacted, as it was never changed. - Michael asked if we had concurrence to withdraw. Jonathan Spangler/AT&T asked if there is any insight as to the issue with the deployment of this tool. Jeff Thompson/Qwest stated that he did not have the details, but some severe corruption problems have occurred. Jonathan Spangler/AT&T stated that AT&T was looking to utilize FORCAST and asked if a CLEC could sponsor or does FORCAST just not work? Jeff Thompson/Qwest stated that it just doesn’t work and investing so much time and effort doesn’t make sense since the volume has decreased. There is no business value to fix it. Jonathan Spangler/AT&T stated that he would like to discuss off-line and will advise Qwest next week. Michael Buck/Qwest stated that he will look to receive a response form AT&T and will take appropriate action. Otherwise, this CR will move to Withdrawn status. Nods in the room.
