Description Of Change
Related CR - SCR041703-01 Completed 11/30/04 Flow Through Automation for UNE-P Pots, 1FB Pots call forwarding features

IMA Trouble Ticket 2802756 reported: IMA functionality allows CLECs to order call forwarding features by providing a "generic" USOC on the LSR, IMA then does a look up of the USOC and call forwarding number to establish what actual call forwarding USOC should be placed on the service order. When CLECs attempt to order F series call forwarding features in DMS-10 central office switch types, IMA is deriving the AIN capable USOC for the call forwarding feature. Because AIN features are not available in DMS-10 switch types, IMA is rejecting the LSR incorrectly. This really doesn’t have anything to do with AIN features but rather which call forwarding series USOC is available in DMS-10s.

IMA BPL shall continue determining if E or F series USOC is appropriate based on Call Forwarding FID data (example CFN FID)

IMA BPL shall continue determining E series USOC with reference table data.

IMA BPL shall an additional derivation step for Call Forwarding USOC.

IMA will compare the feature availability against the 2 USOCs

a. If neither USOC is available, reject

b. If only one USOC is available (E derived or F submitted) then IMA retains that USOC on the request for order construction

c. If both USOC are available IMA keeps the F series (submitted) USOC on the request for order construction.

If service availability response is not available at order time, then skip this portion of logic.

Proposed Implementation Date – IMA 25.0 Release - 2009

Anne Pent-Qwest reviewed the description of change. She said that IMA Trouble Ticket 2802756 reported: IMA functionality allows CLECs to order call forwarding features by providing a "generic" USOC on the LSR, IMA then does a look up of the USOC and call forwarding number to establish what actual call forwarding USOC should be placed on the service order. She said that when CLECs attempt to order F series call forwarding features in DMS-10 central office switch types, IMA is deriving the AIN capable USOC for the call forwarding feature. She said that because AIN features are not available in DMS-10 switch types, IMA is rejecting the LSR incorrectly. She said that this really doesn’t have anything to do with AIN features but rather which call forwarding series USOC is available in DMS-10s. Anne reviewed the following: IMA BPL shall continue determining if E or F series USOC is appropriate based on Call Forwarding FID data (example CFN FID) IMA BPL shall continue determining E series USOC with reference table data. IMA BPL shall an additional derivation step for Call Forwarding USOC. If service availability response is not available at order time, then skip this portion of logic. Anne said that the proposed Implementation Date – IMA 25.0 Release – 2009 Kim Isaacs-Integra said that she had a concern that we are treating a trouble ticket as a CR for an upcoming release. She asked if this CR would be voted on. Mark Coyne-Qwest said that it would be voted on if there were enough eligible candidates. Kim Isaacs-Integra said that this is a trouble ticket and if IMA is not working as it should be why this wasn’t fixed a long time ago. Mark Coyne-Qwest said that we don’t have a lot of CRs for the upcoming release and have capacity available. Kim Isaacs-Integra said that other ILECs use the defect request when there is coding involved. She said that she was concerned that this would set precedence on how Qwest treats trouble tickets. She said that it is not appropriate and wants Qwest to take a look at how these should be classified. Mark Coyne-Qwest that we will take this as an action item. Joyce Bilow-McLeodUSA asked if this would impact XML. Anne Pent-Qwest said that this would impact GUI and XML. Chris Terrell-AT&T asked if the XML carrier would have to change the USOC. Anne Pent-Qwest said that there is no change to the generic USOC and that they should continue to use the generic USOC on subsequent orders. Chris Terrell-AT&T asked what the impact to the customer is. Anne Pent-Qwest said that you will no longer get a reject in the DMS-10 switch. She said that the reject will be upfront instead of the backend.
