Project Meetings

10/17/2012 Systems CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink relayed that as indicated last month, we had received an email from Verizon saying that they had found an internal solution for this CR and that they would like to withdraw this CR. The CR was since moved to a Pending Withdrawal status. Mark said we would like to move this CR a Withdrawn status. There were no comments.

09/19/2012 Systems CMP Meeting UNDER ATTACH B Mark Coyne – CenturyLink relayed that Verizon was scheduled to present the CR on the call but that CenturyLink had just received an email from them that they had developed an internal solution and were requesting that the CR be withdrawn. Mark relayed the CR would be placed in a pending withdrawal status and reviewed in the October meeting.

UNDER ATTACH J - Susan Lorence – CenturyLink relayed that SCR080612-1 was moved to pending withdrawal status based on the email from Verizon on 9/18/12.

08/15/2012 Systems CMP Meeting The Verizon representative did not attend the call to present this CR.

Kim Isaacs – Integra identified that she looks at the CenturyLink Wholesale calendar each morning, and that she had missed that a Clarification call had been held for this CR the prior day and questioned if there was a problem with posting calls to the Wholesale calendar.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink relayed that the Verizon representatives had responded to the three proposed times for a Clarification call on the same day the Clarification call was to occur so there had not been a long lead time to post the call to the Wholesale calendar. Susan said the two other clarification call times were immediately following the CMP monthly call today or in the afternoon. She apologized that there had not been more advance notice on the Wholesale calendar.

8/14/12 Clarification Call Attendees: Munsoor Razack - Verizon; Francis Carino - Verizon; Denise Martinez– CenturyLink; Carrie Bousfield – CenturyLink; Vinesh Vijayan Leela– CenturyLink; John Hansen – CenturyLink; Susan Lorence – CenturyLink Susan Lorence – CenturyLink opened the call and recapped the purpose of a clarification call. Susan said that the technical content (WSDL detail) of the Verizon CR request was posted to the Wholesale calendar at http://wholesalecalendar.centurylinkapps.com/detail/377/2012-08-14 for the meeting today. Susan said there were some characters in the WSDL that prevented the CR from being fully entered in the database. She asked Francis Carino - Verizon to give an overview of the Change Request.

Francis Carino - Verizon stated that the CR was associated with building an interface to the CenturyLink trouble ticketing system. Francis said Verizon has a security requirement to use username and password in the SOAP header. Francis said it would be a “show stopper” if that data was not available.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink asked if the system being discussed was MTG – Maintenance Ticketing Gateway. Susan asked if the request also impacted CEMR-MTG or just the XML interface.

Munsoor Razack – Verizon said MTG was correct as the system being discussed and that it only impacted the ebonding capability. Munsoor said Verizon does not have plans to use the GUI at this time.

Vinesh Vijayan Leela– CenturyLink confirmed that his understanding was it was XML only also. Vinesh requested confirmation that the reason that the userid and password were being requested was for security purposes.

Francis Carino - Verizon said yes.

Vinesh Vijayan Leela– CenturyLink asked if Verizon will be using digital certificate authentication in addition to the userid and password.

Francis Carino - Verizon said yes.

Vinesh Vijayan Leela– CenturyLink asked if the password will be passed in plain text.

Francis Carino - Verizon stated it would be provided by Verizon in plain text. Francis said it would have to be in a token under Security in the SOAP header.

Vinesh Vijayan Leela– CenturyLink asked if there were any other required fields other then username and password.

Francis Carino - Verizon stated no.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink asked if this information is on the initial record or on every record?

Francis Carino - Verizon stated it would always be there on every record. He said it was like the envelope for the transaction. Susan Lorence – CenturyLink asked if CenturyLink needed to know specific format information for the fields.

Francis Carino - Verizon said no and that Verizon would be providing the security information from their database and sending it to CenturyLink.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink asked if the information was then just passed to CenturyLink but then CenturyLink did not need to do anything with the data.

Francis Carino - Verizon said that was correct. It was another validation method in addition to the digital certificate.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink asked if there was a timeframe that Verizon was looking to implement this.

Munsoor Razack – Verizon said they would like to know how long it will take for CenturyLink to implement this change if approved. He said based on that, they will determine if they will need to use the exception process or if they are OK with the CenturyLink timeline.

Francis Carino - Verizon said the security information would be coming from CenturyLink to Verizon. Verizon requires the data to be sent back on the soap header when sending a request to a Verizon web service. If the data is not there, Verizon will give an authentication error. Vinesh Vijayan Leela– CenturyLink clarified it will be the CenturyLink WSDL that will have the security information in the SOAP header when sent to Verizon.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink asked if there were any other questions. There were none. She relayed that if Verizon had other information associated with the CR, it should be sent to the CMP CR mailbox. She confirmed that Francis would be presenting the CR at the monthly meeting on August 15.

Munsoor Razack – Verizon asked if updates would be received thru CMP or thru Carrie Bousfield - CenturyLink.

Susan Lorence – CenturyLink replied that updates would be provided as part of the CMP process.

The clarification call concluded at 2:20 PM MT.
