Project Meetings

06/20/2012 Systems CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink stated that seven of the eight CRs were related to the IMA Release 32 that occurred in April and asked that they be closed. There were no objections. He said the MTG CR (SCR121608-02) would remain in CLEC Test until more customers begin to use the application.

05/16/12 Systems CMP Meeting Susan Lorence – CenturyLink relayed that a new Attachment G had been posted to the Wholesale calendar for the meeting.

Mark Coyne – CenturyLink stated that the new Attachment G included an additional CR. Mark said the IMA Release 32 release was implemented on April 23, 2012 and that CenturyLink would like to move the seven CRs to a Completed status.

Steph Prull- Integra said she would like the following three CRs, SCR101111-2, SCR101211-1, and SCR101211-2, left open until they implement the XML release over the coming weekend.

Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said in that case, we will leave them all open until next month.

11/16/11 Systems CMP Meeting Mindy Chapman – Neustar asked about a walk-on change request (SCR101111-1) from the October meeting regarding the JAVA upgrade and whether it impacts XML or not. She asked if she should talk to someone offline.

Mark Coyne – CenturyLink requested that she submit the question to the CMP CR mailbox.

10/19/11 Systems CMP Meeting

Denise Martinez – CenturyLink presented the CR and stated that CenturyLink will be migrating from the current version of Java ( 1.4.2) to a new version of Java (1.6) for both the Browser, which impacts GUI users only, and the Web, which impacts both GUI and XML users. Denise asked Jim Rearden – CenturyLink to provide more details.

Jim Reardon – CenturyLink said several CLECs had questioned when CenturyLink was going to provide updates so that multiple versions of Java were not necessary. Jim said he does not expect all Java components to be upgraded in the first release IMA Release 32, but the GUI and XML will be converted in the first cut and then others with IMA Release 33. This shouldn’t cause any problems for CLECs. Jim a reminded everyone that Verisign was moving to a higher encryption next year which will require a newer version on desktops.

Bonnie Johnson – Integra questioned the different versions mentioned (i.e., 1.6 vs. 1.6 and higher).

Jim Reardon – CenturyLink explained that there are different variations of 1.6. CenturyLink is moving from Java 1.4 because the new encryption was not supported. The GUI and XML components will occur with IMA Release 32 and then other components that are not visible will occur with IMA Release 33.
