Description Of Change
ASOG 34 Industry Changes

The EXACT system and QORA ASR Gateway application need to be updated to support changes for ASOG 34, including ASOG, Mech Spec and UOM-ASR Schema changes as mandated by OBF.

Details of the ASOG 34 industry changes can be found at: http://www.atis.org/

UOM Ordering Enhancement:

Qwest is implementing a "pull model" option for UOM ordering, which allows the customer to pull the "Results Ready ID List" data from a Qwest-provided web service rather than having the list "pushed" by Qwest to the customer. Existing functionality is not changing; this is an additional option being made available.

QORA GUI Changes

- QORA GUI Pre-Order Display. The field names on the "Address Validation by Street Address" tab will be changed to match the Industry ASOG 34 version names. For example "Name" will be changed to "SASN". Along with this change, links to Field Level Help for the fields will be available.

- QORA GUI "Create New" functionality will be changing slightly. When the ASR is copied to a new ASR, the data in the QTY field and the Remarks field will not be copied but left blank. The user will need to populate these fields with the appropriate data for the new request.

New QORA GUI and ASR Gateway Validations

The QORA application will be updated to include new up-front edits for the following fields on the ASR. If the ASR entries do not pass the validations as described, the ASR will be rejected.

- CIC Field - Trunking/Translations Questionnaire Form – When the CIC field is populated and the REQTYP=M and the CC field on the ASR form is populated, (Local Interconnection Services) position 1 must = "9" and position 2-4 must be populated & numeric when the CIC is populated.

- MUXLOC Field - Transport Form - Rule Change: - If CFA field is blank, the SCFA field is populated and the SMUXLOC is blank, the MUXLOC entry will be compared with the SCFA entry and must match the first 8-characters of the Qwest-owned CLLI contained in the SCFA.

- SMUXLOC Field - Transport Form - If the SMUXLOC field is populated and the SCFA field is populated, the SMUXLOC entry will be compared with the SCFA entry and must match the first 8-characters of the Qwest-owned CLLI contained in the SCFA.

- TSC Field - ASR Form - When ASR.ACT=N and ASR.ACTI=C (New Trunk Group being requested). the TSC field is prohibited.

- PON Field - ASR Form. Only valid entries in this field are alpha/numeric (A-Z, 1-0), space, period, dash or parentheses. Characters other than these described will cause a fatal stop of the ASR.

Upgrade EXACT for ASOG 34 industry related changes and the QORA ASR Gateway Applications to provide upfront editing and validation of ASR entries.

Project Meetings

1/17/07 Systems CMP Meeting

Mark Coyne-Qwest stated that the LOE for this CR is 4800 to 5200 hours. He also said that Steph Prull (Eschelon) asked in the December CMP Meeting why this ASOG upgrade which is an industry change included changes to the UOM Model. Mark said that the reason they are included on the same CR is for efficiency and consistency. He said that we treated ASOG 32 and ASOG 33 in the same manner. Kim Isaacs-Eschelon stated that Steph Prull (Eschelon) had to drop from this call but that she would pass the information on and get back to us with any questions or concerns.

12/14/06 Systems CMP Meeting

She said that the EXACT system and QORA ASR Gateway application need to be updated to support changes for ASOG 34, including ASOG, Mech Spec and UOM-ASR Schema changes as mandated by OBF. She reviewed the UOM Ordering Enhancement. She said that Qwest is implementing a "pull model" option for UOM ordering, which allows the customer to pull the "Results Ready ID List" data from a Qwest-provided web service rather than having the list "pushed" by Qwest to the customer. Cindy said that existing functionality is not changing; this is an additional option being made available. She also reviewed the QORA GUI Changes. As follows: - QORA GUI Pre-Order Display. - New QORA GUI and ASR Gateway Validations Cindy said that the QORA application will be updated to include new up-front edits for the following fields on the ASR and that if the ASR entries do not pass the validations as described, the ASR will be rejected. Cindy reviewed the following changes: - CIC Field - Trunking/Translations Questionnaire Form – When the CIC field is populated and the REQTYP=M and the CC field on the ASR form is populated, (Local Interconnection Services) position 1 must = "9" and position 2-4 must be populated & numeric when the CIC is populated. Characters other than these described, will cause a fatal stop of the ASR. Cindy Kalakis-Qwest stated that this change is scheduled for March 12, 2006 and asked if there were any other questions. Steph Prull-Eschelon asked if the UOM pull model was an Industry Guideline or an enhancement. Cindy Kalakis-Qwest stated that the UOM pull model was not an Industry Guideline. Steph Prull-Eschelon said that if it was not an Industry Guideline, should it not be on a 2nd CR as enhancement. Mark Coyne-Qwest stated that we would take a look at Eschelon’s questions. Steph Prull-Eschelon stated that this is a good change but that it should be an enhancement.
