Calling Card And Line Information Database (LIDB)
Description
If an end user switches from CenturyLink™ to a CLEC, existing line number based calling cards will be canceled. If a CLEC issues a line number based calling card to the end user, it may be stored in the CenturyLink LIDB only if the CLEC arranges for a LIDB Data Storage contract with CenturyLink.
Line Information Database (LIDB) Telephone line numbers for CLEC end users, provisioned on a resold basis, are automatically loaded into LIDB via the service order process for the CLEC summary bill.
CLECs providing facility based services to their end users must take steps to store their telephone line number data in a LIDB for fraud prevention purposes. If telephone line numbers are not stored in a LIDB, the end user may have difficulty placing Calling Card, Collect and Bill-to-Third Number calls.
Toll providers may verify the existence of a working line number via a LIDB query and may refuse to process a call if there is no valid response for a query.
If LIDB Data Storage is established by the CLEC, the end user will also be able to select screening for Collect or Bill-to-Third Number calls charged against their telephone number.

CLECs should contact their CenturyLink Account
