Creating a custom greeting for an Auto Attendant

As an administrator, you can create two custom greetings for an Auto Attendant, one for during business hours and the other for after hours. You will need to save your greeting as a WAV file.

You can also choose to make one greeting custom and set the other to default.

To a create a custom greeting:
  1. Click the Advanced Services tab. 
  1. Click Auto Attendants
  1. From the Actions list, select Edit Service

The Incoming Call tab opens.

  1. Click the Greetings tab. 
  1. To upload a new greeting, do the following (you can do both if you have different options for business and after hours):

    • To use a custom greeting during Business Hours, select the Custom radio button, then click Click on the upload icon to upload a greeting saved as a CITT u-Law 8.000 kHz, 8 bit Mono WAV file format.

    • To use a custom greeting After Hours, select the Custom radio button, then click Click on the upload icon to add a file to upload a greeting saved as a CITT u-Law 8.000 kHz, 8 bit Mono WAV file format.
  1. Click Save
