Turning voicemail on and off for a user

By default, all busy and unanswered calls go to voicemail. However, as an administrator, you can change the setting to turn a user's voicemail off. And, if you change your mind after it's off, you can turn it back on.

Note: This feature is turned on by default; you only need to turn it on if it were turned off. 

Turn voicemail on

To allow callers to leave a message on voicemail, you need to turn this feature on.
To turn voicemail on:
  1. Click the Numbers tab.
  1. On the row of the number you want to edit, click Actions > Edit User Features.
  1. Click the Voicemail tab.
  1. Change the Voicemail Service toggle to on.
  1. Click Save.

Turn voicemail off

To no longer allow callers to leave a voicemail message, you'll need to turn this feature off.
To turn voicemail off:
  1. Click the Numbers tab.
  1. On the row of the number you want to edit, click Actions > Edit User Features.
  1. Click the Voicemail tab.
  1. Change the Voicemail Service toggle to off. 
  1. Click Save.
Note:  You can also turn voicemail on and off from the users tab.
