The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a program created by Congress and managed by the FCC. It is designed to make the internet more affordable for qualifying households. The ACP provides up to $30 per month toward a qualifying household's internet bill, though qualifying households on Tribal land will be eligible for up to $75 per month.
Your household is eligible if you have an income at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines.

Yes! In fact, if you are already a Lifeline customer, you are automatically qualified for ACP. You can contact our benefits team to start the ACP application using your Lifeline subscriber ID (starts with a Q). Once benefits have been verified, the benefits team will provide a personalize link to complete your ACP subscriber account and certify your application.
No. You will receive an email from the Universal Service Administrative Company that you have been approved for ACP. This email will direct you to contact your provider to order service.
Yes. The application ID expires 90-days from the application date. The 90-day expiration date starts over once your application is approved.
The ACP discount cannot be applied to installation charges, however CenturyLink does offer an ACP Internet Plan that includes applicable installation fees, as well as leased equipment and taxes.
Yes. We can apply the ACP benefits to any Internet service account in your name. If your internet service is provided as a part of your monthly rent or Home Owners Association fees, you may be able to order a separately billed account to apply your ACP discount.
If you and your roommate share income and expenses, then only one Affordable Connectivity Program discount will be given. Only one discount is available per household. If you and your roommate do not share income and expenses, you will be required to complete a Household Worksheet provided in your account at the National Verifier site to certify your independent household to get separate discounts.
The Affordable Connectivity Program is a long-term federal program designed to ensure qualified customers can afford the internet service they need for school, work, health care, and more. If the program ends or your eligibility status changes, you will be notified by the Universal Service Administrative Company.

There are no term requirements for CenturyLink Internet service. If the program ends, you can choose to keep your service or cancel without penalty.
If you plan on moving and are an ACP subscriber, the FCC does require you to reapply for benefits to have a record of your new address. Our benefits team can assist with re-applying for benefits when you move service.
Yes. Once your application is approved, we will restore service and can add the benefit to your account and the ACP Internet plan to avoid future past due charges.
