Customer will not be able to place or receive any calls, including 911 calls, if customer does not have electrical power for the service (unless you have functioning battery backup power available).

Upon termination of service, ATA adapter may be kept but Air-Line equipment must be returned to CenturyLink. Additional restrictions may apply.   Connected Voice: Service applies to direct-dial, unlimited local and long-distance voice calling in the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands (Guam excluded). The service also includes a bucket of 500 direct-dial international voice calling minutes within each customer billing cycle to Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany (“Minute Bucket”). Once the Minute Bucket threshold has been met during a customer billing cycle, calls to the Minute Bucket countries listed are unavailable until the Minute Bucket is reset on the first day of the next billing cycle. Unused Minute Bucket minutes will not carry over to next month. Service includes Caller ID, Hold, Call Waiting, 3-way calling and Voicemail. Service excludes call center, data services, conference lines, directory and operator assistance, chat lines, pay-per-call, calling card use, 0+ dialing, and 3-digit dialing (other than 911, 711, 611 and 411), and Premium service. Not recommended for fax purposes, Point of Sale (POS) credit card transactions or security systems; does not support collect calls, third-party calls and 900 numbers. Prepayment: Service will begin on the date your order is completed and full payment is processed through your choice of bank account (via ACH payment), debit card, credit card, or other prepay service available with your subscription.  Each month following, a recurring e-commerce transaction for your service will be processed as service automatically renews monthly until cancelled by customer.

Monthly subscription will provide service features for one individual as the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of sign-up. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the account by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning accounts for the domain associated with the submitted account. Frequently asked questions

Connected Voice offers all the features of traditional telephone (like caller ID, call waiting, voicemail, anonymous call block, etc.), plus more advanced features not available with most traditional telephone services, including mobility, voicemail to email, and email notifications.

Yes. The Basic Package does require an adapter that plugs into a power outlet and converts your analog signal and transmits using an internet connection. Your phone then plugs into the adapter and can be used as normal. 

Yes. You will have the option to transfer your current number if it is not a CenturyLink number. When you are transferring (or "porting"), a number, after submitting your order, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to complete the process.

Electrical power is required for Connected Voice to work. If there is a power outage, digital service will not process calls, including Emergency 911. A battery backup is recommended and available for an additional fee.

A battery backup for Connected Voice is available for purchase if you are interested. It can support the gateway and the adapter in the event of a power outage.

Yes, some special equipment is required to provide service to your home or business:

  • Basic service requires an adapter that plugs into your modem.
  • Professional service requires an IP phone that connects directly to your internet.
