How to set up your email in Windows

Note: Windows 8 email does not support third party POP3 email accounts like CenturyLink. If you are using Windows 8, you will need to check your CenturyLink email through the web portal — CenturyLink.net

  1. Type Mail in the search.

  1. Select the "Mail" app.

  1. Select the gear icon.

  1. Select "Manage Accounts."

  1. Select "Add account."

  1. Select "Other account."

  1. Enter your email address, password, and then select "Sign-in".

  1. Enter your name and select "Sign-In."  Windows Mail will try to configure your email settings automatically. If your Inbox says "still working on it" for more than 3 minutes you need to edit your settings.
