Consumer assistance programs

If you're on a limited income, you may qualify for assistance with your phone or internet bill with Lifeline or Emergency Broadband Benefit.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) is a temporary federal program that provides a monthly discount to qualifying households for internet service. If you qualify for Lifeline, you automatically qualify for EBB, but you'll still need to complete the CenturyLink application to get the discount on your internet account. Visit our Emergency Broadband Benefit page to learn more about qualifications and to how to apply.

Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or qualifying internet service. You can only use Lifeline for either phone or internet service, but not both. Lifeline discounts are available to participants of both state and federally recognized aid programs.

As you learn more about these assistance programs and apply for them, you can also find out about setting up payment arrangements if you're having trouble making your next payment. We're here to help.
